Karen Luke Jackson is a gifted facilitator, retreat leader, and teacher who works with individuals, organizations, churches, and community groups in the midst of transition and change. Karen teaches in Duke University's Advanced Certificate Program in Nonprofit Leadership, serves on Kanuga Conferences Program Committee and the Communities of the Future Advisory Board, and is affiliated with the Center for Courage & Renewal and the Center for Renewal and Wholeness in Higher Education.
Prior to Connecting Role and Soul, Karen led two nonprofit organizations, taught at Appalachian State University, and was Dean of Advancement at Blue Ridge Community College. Her publications include professional articles on college administration and fundraising and poems and personal essays published in Alive Now, Hungryhearts, and two anthologies.
Karen holds a Doctor of Adult and Community College Education from North Carolina State University. She lives in Hendersonville, NC, where she enjoys hiking and playing with her three grandchildren, Jackson, Kaia, and Auden.
